Question 1

What is 'leakage' and why does it matter?

Accepted Answer

Leakage is the gap between the margin a job should have made and the margin it actually made: under-quoted parts, slipped labour time, missed comebacks, written-off lines. A garage doing £50k a month with £10k of leakage is leaving 20% of potential profit on the floor. Every other UK GMS hides this number. DruOps surfaces it on the dashboard and attributes every pound to a named Lead Technician so you can act on it.

Question 2

How long does migration off our current GMS take?

Accepted Answer

Two to four weeks for a typical 2–6 bay workshop. We import customers, vehicles, job history and outstanding work-in-progress from CarSys, GarageAdmin, Autowork Online and Garage Hive. We run both systems in parallel for the first week so nothing slips.

Question 3

What happens to our existing parts supplier accounts?

Accepted Answer

They stay live and we plug them into the cascade. GSF, Partly, motor factor accounts: DruOps is supplier-neutral, so the cheapest in-stock line wins every quote. You keep every rebate you’ve negotiated.

Question 4

Do we need to buy tablets for the technicians?

Accepted Answer

Any modern Android or iPad tablet works. Most workshops kit out a £180 ruggedised Android per bay. We’ll spec it during onboarding.

Question 5

Where does our data live? Can we export it?

Accepted Answer

Your data lives in a dedicated Postgres database that you own. Full SQL export, CSV export and JSON export are one-click. No per-row fees, no "data liberation" charges.

Question 6

How does pricing scale as we add bays?

Accepted Answer

Three flat tiers based on active bay count: Single Bay (1), Workshop (2–6), Multi-site (7+). Unlimited users on every tier. No per-seat tax, no per-module unlocks.

Question 7

Does the customer portal work without an app install?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Customers tap a link in the SMS and the portal opens in their browser. No App Store download, no password to forget. They see live job status, photos from the bay, the VHC, and pay-by-link.

Question 8

When does the AI tablet-camera assistance ship?

Accepted Answer

Phase 2, scheduled for the second half of 2026. Multi-site customers get early access while we tune the model on real workshop video.

Question 9

What if we hate it?

Accepted Answer

Cancel anytime, take all your data with you. We don’t lock you in with annual contracts and we don’t charge an exit fee.

Question 10

What does 'opt in to the network' actually share?

Accepted Answer

Anonymised metric deltas only: for example 'this part-job is 18% slower than the network median.' Never customer data. Never your supplier prices. Never identifiable garage names. The network needs five-plus opted-in garages before any benchmark is published; below that, no comparisons run.

Question 11

How does multi-site pricing work?

Accepted Answer

One transparent tenant subscription based on your total bay count. Add as many garages, advisors, technicians, and front-of-house staff as you want. Group dashboard, group reports, network benchmarks, and the implementation manager are all included on the Multi-site tier with no per-seat surcharge.
